Los Angeles (AP) --
A man suspected of starting a fire on a San Fernando Valley hillside has been charged with arson.
Catalino Pineda, a Guatemala native, was scheduled to be arraigned Friday on one count of arson. He was being held on $75,000 bail.
Police say witnesses spotted Pineda, 41, starting a fire in the West Hills area and then walking away. Witnesses contacted authorities and followed him to a nearby restaurant where police arrested him.
Pineda is currently on probation for making excessive false emergency reports to law enforcement, police said.
If convicted of the arson count, he faces up to six years in prison.
Pineda is among five people who have been arrested for arson since wildfires broke out across Southern California this week, but none has been linked to any of the major blazes.

UNBELIEVABLE. What worms. I hope they track these vermin down. Kinda makes you feel real good about yourself while losing faith in humanity. No matter how much of a loser I may become in this lifetime, at least I can enjoy the towering view over pedophiles, junkies and these retarded, evil arsonists.
Please, let there be Karma, so that those that they love have to have skin grafts and sustain lung damage. As always, bless the first responders.
Speaking of which, how cool would it be if Fox Sports could take just a few seconds out of the hours of beer & car commercials to thank the amazing men & women of our armed forces for making it possible for everyone to lose themselves in a childs game?
