I have to admit, I was beginning to get a little worried. Times being what they are, insane religious conflagrations worldwide and all. Corporate Welfare sapping the precious resources of our nation, massive environmental disasters, corruption, drugs, disease....
But now our prayers have been answered. A great man has stepped forward to lead us back from the abyss. A man with charisma, demonstrated leadership skills, and the historic perspective to understand that when his country needs him, he will answer the call. It is humbling that he is willing to make the sacrifices inherent in public service to take us to a better world.
My cares and worries fall away as I anticipate the fresh start we'll make next January when Ralph Nader is sworn in as our next president. Sure, he's a rigid ideologue who has a tin ear for the voice of the people, and yes, his erroneous conviction that there was no difference between Gore & Bush makes him look like the arrogant, egotistical, loser of the era, but this is our chance to bottom out! To reach our (all together now) nadir.
Thank you, Ralph, for brightening our days and nights.
