America's teen pregnancy epidemic will continue to intensify as long as politicians deny those teens access to information. Forced abstinence is an unrealistic solution.
There are those who traditionally condemn the parents of unwed mothers, dropouts, underage drinkers. Their silence this week is deafening. In this case, the parents are a drunk driver and a woman who has an infant, a history of fanaticism, a wealth of inexperience, and who will potentially be a 72 year old heartbeat away from the most demanding, unforgiving, exhausting position of responsibility on the face of the planet. BUT her judgement must not be questioned.
